TheVega Baja del Segura is the region located further south of the province of Alicante, borders in the northern part on from Alicante region of the BajoVinalopó, in the western part and in the southern part on the autonomous community of Murcia and in the eastern part on the Mediterranean sea.

The Vega Baja is located in the Andalusian System, with three mountainous alienations separated by two plains that are joined in the depression of the Segura River. The first mountainous alienations are formed by the subethical mountains of Crevillente and Abanilla. The second line of heights is the Orihuela’s mountains (643 m.) and Callosa de Segura (568 m.), and a few summits of less altitude in Albatera's proximities.

In the right of the Segura River is the third mountainous alignment, which begins in Benijófar and extends to Guardamar del Segura, whose maximum height is 341 meters in the Sierra de Pujálvarez. The rest of the region is occupied by the great plains of the Vega del Segura. Further south on the coast will include two former coastal lagoons exploited for the Salinas, the Torrevieja and La Mata.

Since Guardamar del Segura until the Cabo Cervera, the beaches are presented sandy, and straight, deposited abundant dunes as the Guardamar del Segura and the Mata. If we continue to the south we find ourselves with cliffs means and low interleaved in coves and ravines, ending with a long beach in Pilar de la Horadada's municipal area.

The principal road links of the Vega Baja are:

The A7, which crosses the region of North on South and pass to few kilometres of the municipalities of Granja de Rocamora, Albatera and San Isidro.

If we circulate along the A7, at the height of Crevillente we can take the AP-7 Direction to Torrevieja. In our tour toward the coast, we will pass near the towns of Catral, Dolores, Almoradí, Daya Nueva, Formentera del Segura and Benijófar. At the height of the latter town, we can choose to follow the same way until the Pilar de la Horadada or to turn aside for the CV-905 that will lead us to Torrevieja.

The N-332, which borders on the whole coast. This way, if we depart from the Pilar de la Horadada with North direction, we will pass for the beaches of Orihuela, Torrevieja and Guardamar del Segura. If we continue trip, we will come up to Alicante.
