The town of Benferri is located in the Vega Baja of the Segura River. It is located at 30 º 50 '30''north latitude and 0º 57' 45'' west longitude. It is in a plain surrounded by mountains of Orihuela, Abanilla and of Callosa de Segura whose declaration as nature reserve, is planned. Its boundaries are, in addition to the stocks mentioned, with the province of Murcia, and with the towns of Granja de Rocamora y Redovan who belong to Alicante.

Its land is constituted by Quaternary’s alluvial deposits. The soils are brown limestone with horizon of limy crust. The municipality is crossed in direction SO-NE by the first channel of the Albatera and of SE-NO by the Rambla de Abanilla or Favanella.

Benferri's economy is sustained, fundamentally, on the cultivation of citrus.

The rural tranquillity of this small village of 1.253 inhabitants, joined the proximity of the coastal areas of Orihuela, Torrevieja and the Mar Menor, make Benferri a suitable place for residential use, as Benfis - Park, which has a considerable number of foreigners, mainly German who have moved their home here to enjoy the sun. It is necessary to emphasize also, in this order of things, the process, already underway, of the Partial Plan "Altos de Benferri ", which development will allow the urban development growth in this new residential zone.

The highway communicates Benferri quickly with the cities of Alicante and Murcia, both placed at half an hour of way.
